Love Keeps Us Dreaming

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œWe hope this finds our Exceptional Minds friends, families, students, graduates, and team members healthy, hopeful and full of love. ❤️๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

We wanted to take a moment to share our love for you all and how we are sharing love these days.

Every Friday our Exceptional Minds staff and members of our board Zoom together to share news for the week, developments in curriculum, fundraising updates, new partnerships, current events, plans for our future.

It's our staff meeting and it gives each team a chance to address the good, the challenging, and everything in between.

We value this time as it can be tough these days to connect and stay connected.

But we do our best to maintain connection in any forum possible.

On Friday, we devoted our meeting to love. ❤️

Some shared the love they have for a family member. ๐Ÿ’›

Others confided they had recently lost a loved one. ๐Ÿ’™

We shared pictures of friends we haven’t seen and videos of our children doing silly things. ๐Ÿ’š

It was a really nice hour that allowed for us all to continue to bond, be vulnerable, and reflect on the many things we love, we miss, and all those things that keep our hearts beating!

What kept coming up though, were the stories of the team’s love of and devotion to our students and grads; and what was of particular sweetness, the apparent love our students have for one another and have openly expressed for their instructors.

Love keeps us all dreaming, reaching, and achieving.

In that spirit, we thought it would be fun to share an animated short from our archive.

It's something that was clearly made of love and all too ironically, features a character simply longing for connection...something we can certainly relate to as we too dream of a return to some kind of different normal.

Released back in 2013 and created by Stephen Storti, a wonderful graduate artist working in the Exceptional Minds (currently remote) studio, please enjoy, “The Kiss.”

Sending you all love and good feelings.
